As you know Sunday will be Steven Tomlinson's last Sunday with us. There will be a reception following the Eucharist in the Library and hall of the administration building. I hope all of you can attend.
Some words from the Sr. Warden: “The insurance adjuster found that all the older roofs at Epiphany will need to be replaced. The water damage sustained from leaking ceilings in the Parish Hall classrooms and restroom and in the custodial closet in the administrative area of the building will need repairs. This is insurance claim #4! Thanks be to God that the newly replaced roof over the Parish Hall came through the hailstorm well, held tight, and is intact.
It's the time of the year when grass and weeds flourish and our big lot needs mowing. Please be mindful and help Epiphany cover the expense for the lawn service which isn't included in the budget.
Cranz Nichols will be replacing Susan Wallace as Jr. Warden. Thank you, Susan, for your service. You do so much for our parish and we appreciate your time and devotion. Cranz has been busy already behind the scenes. Building security is of major concern. During the week, Cranz has noted several outside doors unlocked and even some left ajar. Please, please if you enter the church make certain that you lock the door upon leaving. Lights need to be turned off also. Those who serve VPOD will check all exterior doors from the outside before departing. We must keep our building safe.
Lastly, volunteers are needed for assisting with Sunday School for our most precious little ones. Nancy Heuss, our devoted, longtime leader, is taking care of Roy and needs relief from time to time. We need volunteers who have current SGC training to assist. Please notify Nancy, Karen Leitch or Rachel Bryson if you are able to help out. They met with Trinity in Marble Falls and had ideas and provided new materials for the children. Children are our future. Thank you, ladies. Deana”
A “Special Thank You” to our Sr. Warden, Deana, and Jr., Warden Cranz, for all the things they are doing to make things better at Epiphany.
