On Wednesday, February 28, our second Lenten Soup Supper was held. A very good crowd attended and enjoyed the varied and delicious soups! Thank you to the ladies that prepared them: Karen Leitch, BJ Henry, and Janet Wilton. The discussions about the Bible were from the 14th chapter of the book, “Walk in Love.” We ended the evening a few minutes before 7:00 with the brief service "In the Early Evening" from "Daily Devotions for Individuals and Families" (page 139) in the Book of Common Prayer. We would love to have you join us at 5:30 this coming Wednesday, March 6th. We will discuss Holy Scripture, using Chapter 15, Salvation and Grace from “Walk in Love” as our guide.
PREPARATIONS FOR NAVE RENOVATIONS: Progress! On Tuesday of this week, several parishioners cleaned out the nursery in the Nave. This is a great start in getting prepared for the next phase of the reconstruction! Thank you to Linda Dyke, Deana Geuther, and Cranz Nichols! Carol Weathers has scheduled Monday, March 4th as a “cleanup day” for the choir room and Narthex. If you can help, please meet at the church at 1:00 p.m. The Junior Warden will be coordinating the big move of large, heavy items. Announcements will be sent in the near future through the E-Star.
Reminder from Deana Geuther: Georgie Nolan is currently serving as the trainer for “Safeguarding God’s People” at Epiphany. She will be retiring at the end of this year. With that in mind, we will need to find someone in the congregation that can take over as the trainer. Georgie will no doubt help with the training and curriculum involved. If you are interested, please get in touch with Janet Wilton (Parish Administrator) at the church office, 512-756-2334 or by email: [email protected]. SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2024: ATTENDANCE; 51 in church 4 online 55 total
We also bless thy holy Name for all thy servants departed this life in thy faith and fear, especially Jim Basinger, priest; Joe Marshburn; Diane Breeding; and Frank Seidensticker, that they may have a place in your eternal kingdom. And for their families and friends and all who mourn their passing.
There will be a Visitation for Frank Seidensticker at Jenkins Funeral Home in Burnet on Sunday, March 3 from 1:30 to 3:30. The Requiem Eucharist for Frank Seidensticker will also be on March 3 at 4:00 p.m. at the Church.
Those scheduled to serve this coming Sunday, March 3rd are: Lay Readers: Carol and Jim Weathers Ushers: Karen and David Leitch VPOD: Maria Gonzales Altar Guild: Diane Hays and Susan Wallace Coffee Hour: Cecile Gloier and Sherry Musgrove
Please join us for coffee and cookies in the Parish Hall following the service on Sunday.
As we get closer to the solar eclipse day, Monday, April 8, Father Michael has decided to have the Sunday Service (April 7) via zoom instead of everyone trying to maneuver around the city with all the extra visitors in town to watch the eclipse! He will send out the zoom link a few days before April 7.
Please continue to pray for all in need of comfort, healing, and support. We are all God’s children and are called to serve Him in any way we can.
Please also pray for those people and places affected by the Panhandle Wildfires.
A very special thank you to Carol Weathers for a big donation of prepared spaghetti sauce to the Community Kitchen! Many, many thanks from the CK Crew!!

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” ―Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
